The Fall Lineup

Fall is approaching fast. The down side of this is we all have to put our sun dresses and sandals back into our closets (or in my case, an old toy box) for several months. The up side is SHOPPING! I’ve put together a series of wishlist items for The Fall of ’13 on Polyvore. Polyvore is basically a site where you can create outfit sets like the ones below. It’s kind of the grown-up version of those dress-up games we all played and loved as little girls.  Keep in mind that this is my first legitimate time doing this so they won’t be as fancy-shmancy as the rest of you pros. But, I love the outfits and I guess I’ve inspired myself to go out and search for some!

(Also, the detailing of the outfit are not the actual pieces in the picture. They are only recommendations. Thank you!)

Sweater Weather

fall sweater weather pattern scarf leggings

This comfortable, yet chic outfit is perfect for those cool autumn mornings. Maybe grab some hot cider before you start the day and you’re ready to roll.

Sweater: Forever21 Cable Knit Raglan Sweater for $24.80

Leggings: Charlotte Russe Ankle Length Cotton Leggings for$ 8.99 (or $8 online!)

Boots: Zappos VOLATILE Wicker for $75.00 (I’d never spend that much on shoes but brown boots are very easy to find)

Scarf: American Eagle AEO Printed Scarf for $24.95 (Again, $25 dollars is a lot for a scarf but this outfit is very versatile so anything could work!)

Pretty In Pink

Pretty In Pink Faux Leather Skirt Pink Lace Tank Top Chuck Taylor Converse High Top Round Sunnies

This edgy outfit has a kick of skater with the flared leather skirt and high tops. Jaws will drop whevever you go.

Shirt: Charlotte Russe Crocheted Lace Tank in pink for $12.50

Skirt: Forever21 A-Line Faux Leather Skirt for $15.80

Sunshades: PacSun Robin Round for $14.95 ( 2 for 20 online exclusive!)

Sneakers: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star for $55.00

Fall Florals

Fall Florals Maxi Skirt Flowy Crop Top Heels Daisies

My favorite. Why put away your summer stuff when you can just switch up the outfit? Lovely maxi skirt with a touch of florals keeps the sun out during the fall.

Top: Charlotte Russe (similar) Crochet Flutter Crop Tank for $14.99

Skirt: PacSun (with Slit) Kirra Double Front Slit Skirt for $25.00

Shoes: Modcloth Kick It Up A Notch for $45.99

Anyway, I hope that this has inspired you for your next shopping spree!

Savoring the Summer

Black Tribal.jpg

Some of the best summer memories can be found around a bonfire.  My friends had invited me to their birthday bonfire and it was absolutely perfect. There was a live band consisted of boys I’ve known since 1st grade wearing thrifted clothes and playing Red Hot Chili Pepper songs. I was sitting on a blanket with my boyfriend as we were watching a pretty intense game of Truth or Dare. (One dare included someone running around with burning sticks and chanting his love for Taylor Swift.) It was perfect. I mean, who doesn’t love gathering around a campfire with old and new friends, roasting marshmallows, and singing old Miley Cyrus songs?

As the end of the summer comes around the corner (*sad face*), I can’t help but try to savor the last of my carefree days. And I can tell you that I’m not ready to put away my shorts for jeans and tights. But, it feels as if fall has come a little too early. I’m finding that I’m adding cardigans to my racer-backs and I’ve had to pull out my jeans for late work nights. I can only hope that there will be a few more sunny days before I return to school.

Hugs & Kisses,

Uhhh… I don’t know about you, but boy are my allergies kicking in today. It’s awful. All day I have been sneezey and sniffly and just all around  meh. Honestly, I don’t even know how many times I have sneezed, it’s that many. Thankfully, I have a nice four day weekend to catch up on sleep and work. Does anyone have any cool memorial day plans? This weekend, I’m working at the local baseball stadium. So, I’ll be making a lot of hot dogs… fun fun fun!

I’m not sure why, but I feel like a bright orange lipstick would look really cool with this outfit. But a little shy of the bright colors, I don’t own any orange lipstick. Not like I’d know how to wear it anyway. Some bloggers are so good with applying bright, luscious makeup but I feel like if I did it, it would look funny. What are your thoughts on bright lipstick colors? And if you wear them, what’s your secrets to finding the perfect color and applying it?

Enjoy your Memorial Day Weekend:)

Something In The Way You Move

        Tropical6.jpg         Tropical5.jpg

Miss me this past week? My sincerest apologies- it was quite a busy one! My testing is finally over and I feel like I can almost start thinking about summer. This is the first summer I will be able to drive (say a prayer that y’all don’t live near me or else I would seriously suggest everyone to stay off the roads) which gives me a new found freedom! I recently found this cool idea called Geocaching. I told my lovely boyfriend we’re so doing it this summer. Poor guy.

Anyway, I’ve always had a problem with side braids. The one side ALWAYS falls out…no matter how many bobby pins I put in it. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me? But I love the look: pretty and causal-the perfect combo! Anyway, fed up with the constant issue, I finally looked up a solution. French braid it on the side. Ohmygosh who knew? But it works great and I’ve been doing it everyday since.

Have a wonderful week, everyone! Counting down the days until summer!

Come And Be Free, You Know Who I Am

Purple Dress2.jpg

I swear, I have more shoes than this one pair of floral sneakers! As cute as they are, I feel like I need to wear something other than these shoes. I’ve been thinking about expanding my horizons and purchasing some heels. I have a lot of shoes but my high heel selection consists of heels worn for winter formals. Unfortunately, shoes with heels are kind of frowned upon at my school. I’m not even going to lie, I too, shook my head at those who attempted to wear high heels around the hallways. But, one day, I saw someone come into my math class with the cutest pair of heels. Consider myself converted.

I just have one tiny problem. And that would be my feet. Those pair of sneakers I keep wearing…? Yeah, they’re actually kid sizes. (Which I found for like two dollars. Yes!) I have the most frustratingly, tiniest feet. Nothing I try on actually fits. Anyway, if anyone has any idea where I can get shoes for petite feet…Let me know! Help would be much appreciated!
