These pants have got to be one of the coolest pants I have ever owned.
This summer, my mom went on her third trip to Paris in three years. Last year, she went over their week of shopping sales and returned with a suitcase full of beautiful French clothing. Oh la la! After that vacation, my wardrobe bulked up with some super cute vêtements! (Clothes, in French.) Unfortunately, this year, I did not get lucky enough to get another heap of cool pieces. But, I did luck out on getting these white, high-waisted, crochet pants.
And they’re absolutely beautiful.
Merci, ma mère!
Hugs & Kisses,
Also, Happy Friday the 13th 😉
I absolutely love blogging. But the one thing I dread… D.R.E.A.D. is taking pictures of myself. There’s just something about it that I feel like people will totally and most certainly judge me for. That’s why you’ll find most of my pictures in the safe and covert whereabouts of my backyard.
Today, I thought I’d try the front yard out even though it loses the privacy the backyard bears. I open my front door and peek around my house and down my street. Woo… no one getting in or out of their cars, driving by, or hanging out in their lawns. “Okay, I’m good,” I tell myself. I set down my tripod camera and start shooting away… doing my usual poses which probably makes me look ridiculous from an outside viewer. ( Especially today, where I was feeling extra goofy.)
Then all of a sudden, I hear the sound of a loud groaning coming closer and closer to my photo shoot. Out of the corner of my eye, I see my next door neighbor with the lawn mower coming around the corner of the side yard.
“Crap! Crap! Crap!” I panic and take off toward the safety of other side of the house…. Leaving my poor camera and tripod behind as it snaps away pictures of nothing. Aside from my abandoned camera, I see him mowing the edges of my front lawn. I contemplate staking out there until the job was done but I couldn’t just leave my camera behind. For some reason, I had no desire to walk around to the front again so I took the long way. The long way meaning almost scaling the fence into my backyard and through the house. Thankfully, I was wearing my trusty high tops. Stealthily, I grabbed my camera when his back was to me and ran back into the house.
Pictures could wait for a bit, I guess.
Speaking of next door neighbors… I got this “I ❤ My Bike” shirt from the lawn mower’s sister. I’ve known her since I was in elementary school and our families are very close. Last year, she was cleaning out her closet. Now, let me tell you how much of an excitement this was for me. She has some of the cutest stuff ever. So when I found out about her giveaway, I basically pounced on her piles of clothes. And now, my closest is like half full with her stuff, including this “I ❤ My Bike” shirt which I had totally been eyeing from afar. I guess this is perks of being short. You get all your friend’s old clothing for FREE.
Hugs & Kisses,
Me running away… Run! Get away from the scary lawn mower -__-

My my my. Where has my summer gone? It only seems like yesterday when I was posting about finishing finals. I think it’s an unfair trick of nature where summer seems to speed by. But then, once school starts, that stupid clock in your math class drags on foreverrrrr. Tick tock tick tock.
I don’t normally wear this dress due to it’s lightweight material. But I kind of put together this outfit in a little frenzy today. I can totally tell it’s going this dress-boot combo is going to be worn a lot this year. It’s funny how some of the best outfits are the ones that are thrown together with little thought.
Hugs & Kisses,
Over my lifetime, I’ve come up with different games to pass the time during long road trips. The games are all over the map (no pun intended) which include simple games like 20 Questions and I-Spy. Then some games are a little more extreme. One time, my friends and I pretended we were being chased by a car behind us and we used a bazooka (an umbrella) to shoot down our enemies. It totally belonged in an action movie, it was that intense.
Just a few days ago, my family was helping my older brother move into his new townhouse in Philadelphia. My mother was in her car and my brother and I were in his. After a losing game of 20 Questions (it was my high school girl’s cross country coach, of all things), my brother told me a little riddle:
You are walking along a path and you come across a fork in the road. One path leads to the town of truth where everyone in the town tells the truth. The other path leads to the town of lies where everyone in the town tells lies. There is a man blocking the paths. You have to ask the man one question to get you to the town of truth. What would you ask?
So, you’re probably wondering what this has to do with either A)This outfit or B)This blog. And well, to tell you the truth, it doesn’t. Not really. But, I feel that in a way, blogging is like trying to solve a riddle. They both make you think… a lot. I know that my blog is always on my mind with questions like, “What should I wear next?” and “How can I make my blog better?”. And thinking is supposed to be healthy for you. (Although sometimes over-thinking can lead me to stay up all night over stupid things, but hey-I’m a girl. It’s what we do.) I’m starting to find that I love blogging because of this. I love thinking about my next post and different ways I can invite people to check it out. It’s such a great creative outlet, don’t you think?
Sorry for the complete tangent of a post. I’m not even sure where I’m going with this one. I think my scatterbrained-ness is an effect of having to sleep on a pull out bed that was equivalent to a pile of pokey metal, last night. My body and mind are still protesting. I sense a nap in the near future.
Anyway, I hope everyone has a great weekend!
And since my readers are fellow bloggers, What would you say to the man to get to the Town of Truth?
Hugs & Kisses,
So, I normally put this skirt away once the weather gets warmer. I don’t know…I think this olive green color belongs more in the autumn season rather than summer season. But, for some reason, I couldn’t find the heart to put it back into my winter box until school starts again. Unfortunately, that means trying to find warm-weather pieces to go with it. Trying to transform winter pieces into summer or vise versa can be tricky. Thankfully, this skirt is pretty versatile and matching it with this crochet top was simple!
Anyway, do you have any tips for pieces you can’t part with for the summer? Like, instead of wearing tights with that dress you normally wear in the winter… Do you pair it with a jean vest or a cute summer scarf instead? Doing this can totally transform and expand your entire wardrobe! Who needs to go shopping for spring clothes when you have everything you need in your closet? (Okay… That would be me. I’m the kind of girl who would go shopping even if I owned all the clothes in the world;P)
Have a great weekend, my chicas and my chicos (…? Is that even correct? I take French in school.) for all my lovely male readers out there.
